Mental Health Services centered around the wellness of Black, Indigenous, and other Communities of Color.

Committed To Creating Safe Spaces That Feel Like Us.

So, what’s psychological safety?

Let's Call It What It Is...

Ever felt dismissed, judged, or spoken over in a healthcare space? Unfortunately, these spaces were not psychologically safe.

The term 'psychological safety' is reflected in experiences where you feel safe to express yourself without fear of judgment or repercussions.  Although some may say that's subjective, it is the responsibility of the clinician to provide a space that fosters understanding, connection, and trust.

NorthStar BIPOC Wellness is dedicated to fostering psychological safety for people of color. We understand that healing requires more than just methods; it requires a community where you feel safe and supported. Our approach is tailored to honor cultural backgrounds and personal experiences, ensuring that every individual feels valued. At NorthStar BIPOC Wellness, we believe in the power of connection and understanding as essential components of wellness.

Services we offer

One on One Psychotherapy Services

Engage in individual therapy sessions that integrate holistic and somatic approaches to support healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Together, we explore thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences while gently incorporating body-based techniques such as breathwork, grounding, and nervous system regulation.

We also offer brief consultations so you can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and determine whether our services align with your needs.

Culturally Specific Groups

Trauma-informed mental health groups designed to support healing within shared cultural and lived experiences, emphasizing psychological safety, communal connection, and collective resilience.

Stay tuned for groups as they become available.

Meet Our Founder and Clinician

Hey peeps,

I’m Jas. I’m a mental health therapist and a regular person.

My approach to therapy deeply reflects the lessons learned on my personal journey. As a human being dealing with human experiences, I came to understand that healing occurs on multiple planes: mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. These are the foundational pillars of humanness and therefore I would be remiss not address these dimensions of humanness with clients during our time together while on their journey.

I specialize in techniques that address trauma from a ‘bottom up’ approach, working with patients to work with the knowledge available from the body and other internal and/or natural resources while integrating traditional psychotherapy with mind-body approaches to support clients in overall wellbeing.
